When people first learn the law of attraction, it’s common to have a goal of getting $1 million.

But think about this: why do you want the $1 million?

If you’ve read any of my previous posts, you know I typically advise you to go after the thing you want instead.

But why?

Why go after the things you want instead of the $1 million?

First, you get more direct influence over your environment… Faster results. You can get what you want much faster than waiting for $1 million. If you don’t go after it directly, you could end up waiting a
long time before you actually get the things that you truly want.

Second, think about the people in your life… if you have to wait for the $1 million to come first, there are so many people you won’t be able to meet who can positively affect you. You may end up spending time with people you would rather not hang around.

Finally, imagine what it would be like to get all the things that you want with the million dollars before you actually get the money.

Do you want the money so you can belong to the yacht club? If so, that’s fine. Picture yourself there enjoying it if that’s truly what you want.

Do you want it to so that you can walk into a room full of millionaires and feel accepted? If so, picture yourself in the presence of millionaires and wealthy, powerful people while they all respect you. Maybe they welcome and respect you because you’ve done or have something else they admire.

Do you want the $1 million to feel safe and secure? If so, set an intention to feel safe and secure.

Do you see what I’m saying? Go after what you want.

Practical Application

If you want $1 million, keep the intention to get it. While knowing that it will eventually come to you, get all the other things you want in the meantime.

By the time you make your first million, you’ll be able to enjoy spending it on bigger and better things.

You’ve probably heard it said before that when you visualize the need to be specific.

A common sticking point for many people is when they say, “how much should I ask for?”

Some people think if they ask for too much, then there is an invisible limit where it won’t come to them.

But that’s not the case.

The process for attracting $1 is the same as the process for attracting $1000.

The real question you have to ask yourself is, “what do I want the money for?”

Money is energy.

Think about your energy bill. Does the power company care if you use the electricity to throw a party? In the same way, the universe doesn’t care what you want the money for.

The reason you want to visualize what you will use the money for is because it helps you get specific… you paint the powerful picture, and it brings up strong feelings in you.

It’s very difficult to get inspired by a picture of money itself. Let’s face it… it’s just boring. Seeing your child go to college… that’s inspiring! Seeing yourself build a business that helps other
people… that will get your juices flowing. Imagining your spouse agreeing over money instead of arguing over the lack of it… that will strongly change the way you feel.

Visualize scenarios that touch your heart, and the money to fulfill those things will come to you. So don’t get stuck on the money part. See the money being there is a smaller piece of getting what you want.

Practical Application

When setting a goal for how much money you want, ask yourself why you want it. Visualize yourself experiencing that outcome naturally and easily.

As you picture events with a strong emotional attachment, you will quickly attract what you want. The money to pay for it is a natural result.

There seems to be two camps to the law of attraction when it comes to money. One camp seems to think that you can fill yourself with positive feelings, and the money will naturally flow to you. The other camp thinks you must prepare with positive feelings and clearing negative beliefs, but then you’ve got to take some action…

So which one is right?

From my own personal experience, I can tell you that I take a lot of action. However, there have been times when money is come to me without doing anything.

So, I want to take this opportunity to clear up this issue.

Yes, it’s true that you can attract money without taking action. But attracting money without action is the same as a flying double jump kick… it’s an advanced technique. If you’re nowhere near having a black belt in the LOA, then forget the fancy tricks.

You need to start with the basics. Masters always begin with the basics. The reason you need to learn how to attract money while taking action is because you’ve been conditioned your whole life.

As you get better with the LOA, you will have a few experiences, where money comes to you naturally and effortlessly. These experiences will help you build your belief.

However, there is a common trap that many beginners get caught in. They lay on the couch waiting for a giant lottery win. Don’t fall into that trap… begin taking action… grow into effortless attraction of money.

Practical Application

Understand that action-less attraction is an advanced technique. Continue mastering the basics of attracting while taking action.

As you gain experiences where you attract money without action, pause and take note of them. This will confirm and build your confidence over time. As your belief grows stronger, then you can practice the
advanced technique.

I asked a very successful friend of mine, “have you ever not had money?”

He replied, “No. I’ve always had money. Sometimes it was just in a different spot at the time.”

Some people say, “I don’t have money” if the cash isn’t in their hands. Others say they always have it, but it’s just in a different place right now.

Some people say, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” Other people say, “I believe it because when I believe it, I see it.” If you’re one of the skeptical people, I have just one piece of advice for you…

Change your mind.

Why?

Because think about how your life will be limited forever if you stay with the skeptical crowd. Critical thinking won’t help you here. Being too hard-nosed and skeptical is a strategy many people learn early in life. They do it to get others to follow through on promises. Spiteful people will follow through just to prove you wrong.

However, that strategy stinks.

Money doesn’t really come from other people. It comes from your belief and expectation about it. Underneath skepticism is a belief that the law of attraction and yourself are not in control of your money. You believe other people control your money, and you need to coerce them from it.

Nobody can blame you. It has appeared that way all your life. Early on, your parents and other adults gave you money. Later, you probably got a job where your employer had money and gave you as little as possible to get the most work out of you. You’ve probably seen many news stories of rich people swindling others out of thousands and even millions. All of it can add up to make you think others always have money and you don’t.

Practical Application

Realize your life experience lead to your beliefs about money. Then, realize your beliefs created a strong vibration or feeling in you. Admit to yourself that it was your own feelings that attracted your current financial situation.

By doing this, you give yourself credit for attracting money the way you did. You also reaffirm your power to attract it in a better way in the future.

I was talking to a friend the other day, and she said, “you know, Antonio, I just can’t get the law of attraction stuff working when it comes to money.”

A lot of people seem to have this problem. They get stuck on the money issue.

I could see from my friend’s words the way she was thinking about it. The LOA doesn’t work with money? Excuse me, but…

LOA Doesn’t Change

The law is universal… it doesn’t suddenly change its mind just because you’re thinking about money. If it didn’t apply in all situations, it wouldn’t be a law.

So I said to my friend, “You know what you don’t want, so take it a
step further. What do you want?”

When she thought about it, she said, “I want to have more than enough money. I want enough to cover all the things I want and need, and I want a little bit extra to make life more fun.”

“That’s great,” I said. “So what keeps you from having that?”

“I think it’s gonna be a struggle. I think I have to give up just about everything that’s important to me in order to make the kind of money I’m talking about. I think I’ll have to work like a slave, doing things I do not enjoy. What’s the point in having all that money if it takes all the fun out of your life?”

That’s when I finally said to her, “I think you got some negative associations you’re going to have to work on.”

Practical application

If money is not coming to you the way you want, it does not mean the Law of Attraction has stopped working for you. It’s an indicator that the way you truly feel about money is not positive enough.

Work on clearing some of your negative associations. Start with money itself. Then check yourself for what you think you have to give up in order to get it.

Use the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or any other way of clearing negative emotions.

As the New Year rolls in, many people start anew. We set new goals,  make room for new dreams, and get ready to work on them throughout the year. Many of our goals include success and money. However, for most of us success and money are viewed far away in the distant future. Without realizing it, we are working against the principles of the Law of Attraction, and as a result, attracting lack of money or
unsuccessful ventures to our lives.

What is Wrong with Wanting More Money in the Future?

The Law of Attraction is based on the principles of Ask – Believe – Receive. By wanting money in our future, we are denying these three principles, which are the basis for the Law of Attraction to work in our lives.

Wanting more money suggests an attitude of lack, of needing something that you do not have. As a result, the Universe will respond to the energy that you are sending by reciprocating with the same – the result, more situations of lack of money (more bills, expenses…). Instead, adopt an attitude of gratitude for what you do have and your energy pattern will change. Gratitude will attract more good things to be grateful for and the Universe will reciprocate by sending more blessings to your life.

Ask – When asking, do not ask in a “lack state of mind.” Instead, use this opportunity to clarify in your mind your desires. By knowing what you want, and having it clear in your mind, you have just let the Universe know, without coming from a perspective of lacking.

Believe – The act of believing might be the hardest for many people. This is because it requires us to behave as if we have received the desire of our heart. It will include behaving and thinking, as well as verbalizing prosperity and visualizing it. This part is crucial.

Receiving is the emotional part, it is living the feelings and emotions of having what we have asked for – even when it is not present in our lives yet. By living the joy of having plenty and being grateful for it, the Universe will put into place the perfect plan for success and money to come to your life. The result, what you feel
becomes real – you summon that reality into your life.

How to Do It

Money is personal to every person, so are goals of success. Every individual has his/her own measure of success. This is why it is important to get clear in your mind what you want. As you know your goals for manifesting money, the next step is to be specific in the amount that you desire.

The Universe will give you what you ask for, so by saying, “I want a lot of money” this is not enough – as a lot of money is different amounts to different people. Specify your money goals. Visualizing your life every day before going to bed and when you get up (playing it as a movie in your head and heart) as how you want it, is a technique that you can use. Another technique is to make a collage of pictures of what you want in your life that includes the lifestyle and things that the money will provide.

A feeling of being grateful for those blessings is essential to make them real. Feeling the joy for those things and the money you have will summon them into reality. One important aspect is to accompany the feeling with the corresponding behavior to them. For example, someone who wants to be a successful writer must write every day.

Find what works for you and triggers your money buttons and think, talk, act, and feel your way to reality.

Money is a specific application of the law of attraction, but the principles are no different than manifesting anything else. It’s just that sometimes people have many hangups about money that prevent them from feeling good when they focus on the subject. By the end of this article, you’ll have everything you need to begin manifesting more money in your life.

Some people may say, “Well, that’s all fine and good. But, I’ve got a job. My paycheck is the same no matter how much focusing or visualizing I do. How can I attract more money when I know my paycheck is going to show up with the same amount every time?”

Well, you see, you’re already using the principles of the law of attraction to manifest a specific amount of money, aren’t you? That’s what you do most of the time. You focus on your paycheck (a specific amount), and it shows up. So, what you’re asking isn’t really that much of a stretch. It’s not really about how you can get the law of attraction to work for you. It’s already working. What you’re really asking is, “How can I use the law of attraction to bring me more money than I normally get?”

Follow these three simple tips and you’ll be manifesting more money in no time:

1. Recognize that You’re Already Using the Law of Attraction

As I said before, you’re already doing it. In fact, it’s impossible not to use the law. It works even if you’re not aware it’s working. It’s much like gravity, and that’s why it’s called a law. So, take some time and realize that the money that’s been showing up in your life is the amount you’ve been focusing on predominantly.

2. Set a Goal for More Money

If you want more money to show up, then that’s where you’re going to have to focus your thoughts. Don’t focus them on the same amount showing up as last time. Set a goal to have more money show up in your life. If you’re on a paycheck, then start with something small. Start with something you can believe in. If you had a goal that you’d like $25 more dollars to show up during your next pay period, then you’re tapping into the power of the law of attraction by being very specific. You can start with a small sum like this one. Really, it’s not the $25 dollars that’s important. What’s important is that you get a moment where you realized you’ve done it. When that happens, you’ll feel much more confident attracting larger sums of money.

3. Pay Attention and Look for the Results

If you set a goal for more money to show up in your life, then look for it. Oftentimes, people set goals and manifest them, yet they’re so caught up in their life, they don’t stop to realize they just got what they wanted. It could be that you notice a $25 dollar rebate check arrives in your mail. You may be tempted to dismiss it by saying, “Well, I knew that was coming eventually. I filled out the rebate form months ago. “However, you should stop and realize that you’ve manifested what you’ve asked for at just the time you intended to manifest it. Once you do, you’ll get more and more comfortable manifesting money with the law of attraction.

AVOID DEBT LIKE A PLAGUE

There is scarcely anything else that drags a person down like debt. It is a slavish position to get ill, yet we find many a young man, hardly out of his “teens,” running in debt (and yes, this has been going on for centuries as long as men and history could remember). He meets a chum and says, “Look at this: I have got trusted for a new suit of clothes.” He seems to look upon the clothes as so much given to him; well, it frequently is so, but, if he succeeds in paying and then gets trusted again, he is adopting a habit which will keep him in poverty through life. Debt robs a man of his self-respect, and makes him almost despise himself.

Grunting and groaning and working for what he has eaten up or worn out, and now when he is called upon to pay up, he has nothing to show for his money; this is properly termed “working for a dead horse.” I do not speak of merchants buying and selling on credit, or of those who buy on credit in order to turn the purchase to a profit.

Money is in some respects like fire; it is a very excellent servant but a terrible master. When you have it mastering you; when interest is constantly piling up against you, it will keep you down in the worst kind of slavery. But let money work for you, and you have the most devoted servant in the world. It is no “eye-servant.” There is nothing animate or inanimate that will work so faithfully as money when placed at interest, well secured. It works night and day, and in wet or dry weather.

Stay away from any form of debt as much as humanly possible.

If you want to bring more wealth into your life, you need to put your attention on having money – not wishing for money, but possessing it now. You can do this by simply visualizing things and situations that give you the feeling of being wealthy, or you can use physical aids to help make the experience more tangible.

Here are a few examples:

• Deposit Funds into Your Account-
  Get some blank deposit slips at your bank.  Imagine you have a large amount of money you want to put into your account, and then actually fill out a deposit slip. Think about how good it feels to fill out the deposit slip and give it, along with a pile of cash or a large check, to the teller. You may never have had the experience of writing down or seeing that many zeros before, so this will help make the mental exercise  feel more real.
• Write Checks for the Items You Want-
  Get some checks from an unused account, or photocopy a blank check. Pull out a catalogue and look through the pages.  When you see something you want, write out a check for it.  Doesn’t it feel good to write out a large check?  You can then actually put it in an envelope and address it – you could even make a special “mailbox” to send your order through the universe. Now, feel happy and excited about receiving the items in the mail soon.
• Increase the Amount in Your Checkbook Balance-
  Close your eyes, and see another $10,000.00 or $100,000.00 in your checkbook balance – instead of seeing $240.00, imagine that it’s $10,240.00.  Get a vivid image of that nice big number.  Feel good about the large amount of money that’s yours to spend. You want to get used to seeing and writing these amounts on a regular basis.

These exercises, with or without the physical “props”, will help you send out a vibration of prosperity.  Use your imagination to think of other exercises like these, and practice them regularly.  The more you feel wealthy, the more the Law of Attraction will compel the universe to bring wealth to you.

Shifting Your Mindset

How hard is it for you to shift your belief systems or what I like to call B.S.?

Of course, a lot of you might say that you’ve already shifted your minds to attract money. But have you really shifted?

If you still believe that attracting money is hard, because of the process of acquiring it, then you still haven’t changed your outlook.

Where’s The Hard Work?

When you look at making a shift from one belief system to another, that’s really where the hard work is. It’s not merely thinking about ‘attracting money’ or ‘attracting wealth’ because these things are the easy part.

The most challenging part is getting yourself from the mindset of “where you are” to the mindset of “where you want to be,” and if you work on that mindset, then you’ll find that everything else will be an absolute breeze.

Enjoy The Journey To Wealth

To attract money is actually not difficult, but most people will say that the journey is the hard part. If you have that mindset, then it will be really hard for you.

On the other hand, when you enjoy the journey towards wealth, you will see that it is not hard work – it doesn’t even feel like work at all.

Keep in mind that successful people are those who have enjoyed their journey to achieve what they have now. There’s no reason for you not to enjoy your journey, too.
